L’ouragan Dorian cause de surprenantes perturbations des niveaux d’eau du Saint-Laurent

L’ouragan Dorian, devenu tempête post-tropicale sur le Québec les 7 et 8 septembre 2019, a perturbé le cycle normal des marées en provoquant des variations des niveaux d’eau hors de l’ordinaire. Pendant son passage, les avertissements d’ondes de tempête sur le fleuve et dans le golfe du Saint-Laurent ont été multipliés. Au Québec, les îles de la Madeleine ont été particulièrement touchées.

The Canadian Coast Guard recently announced that its inshore rescue boat stations in Saint-Zotique, Vaudreuil (Lac des Deux Montagnes), Beaconsfield, Longueuil, Sorel and Trois-Rivières reopened for the season on Wednesday, May 26 at noon.
