Oceans Protection Plan: Seven Projects Completed in Quebec Thanks to the Coastal Restoration Fund

By
Danielle Dorion

With a budget of $75 million over five years, the Coastal Restoration Fund was launched in May 2017 as part of the Oceans Protection Plan. This financial aid program aims to support habitat restoration projects along Canada’s coasts and contribute to mitigating stressors in marine environments. Following the initial call for proposals, the Quebec Region has confirmed funding for seven projects across the Estuary and Gulf of St. Lawrence. The target objectives and habitats vary and make it possible to meet several regional priorities in order to achieve the results of the funf.

Here is a brief description of each project.
