subject: Announcement of the opening of the Harp Seal fishery (hunt) for Magdalen Islands sealers
Quebec/Magdalen Islands – March 8, 2023
Fisheries and Oceans Canada – Quebec Region announces that pursuant to Variation Order 2023-Q-303, the Harp Seal fishery (hunt) will be open:
- starting March 16, 2023 in the Sealing Area 20 for licence classes Q100-Q110 (commercial licences), Q130 (personal use licences) and Q140 (development allocation);
- starting March 16, 2023 in the Sealing Areas 21 to 23 and 26 for licence classes Q100-Q110 (commercial licences) and Q140 (development allocation).
To obtain their licences, licence holders must log on the National Online Licensing System.
