The Regional Director General of Fisheries and Oceans Canada for the Maritimes Region issues Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. MSN-2023-023, thereby closing the following area(s):
Annapolis Basin, Nova Scotia:
A portion of Clam Harvest Area 2 described as:
That portion of Annapolis Basin, inside a line drawn from position 44.65839 North -65.75791 West and to position 44.65850 North -65.75337 West near Polly’s Point to position 44.61444 North -65.72277 West near Smiths Cove.
Note: The coordinates are expressed using the datum World Geodetic System 1984 (WGS84).
to the harvesting of the following species of shellfish:
All bivalve shellfish (except sea scallops) including atlantic razor clams, atlantic surf clams, bay quahaugs, northern propeller clams, ocean quahaugs, softshell clam, stimpson's surf clams, bay mussels, blue mussel, horse mussels, american oysters, bay scallops, iceland scallops, northern moon snails, waved whelks, and stimpson's whelks.
