The Regional Director General, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Regions gives notice that Variation Order 2025-025 has been revoked and Variation Order 2025-028 comes into force at 1200 hours on April 6, 2025.

DFO advises that the Herring fixed gear fishery will open at 0600 hours Sunday, April 6, 2025 for Herring Fishing Area 11 - Fortune Bay (Barr seines, gillnets and trap nets)

Fish harvesters are reminded that logbooks are mandatory in these Fixed Gear herring fisheries.
