Visit the Maurice Lamontagne Institute, where discoveries await!

By
Sylvi Racine

All summer, until August 30, the Maurice Lamontagne Institute is offering one-hour guided tours in English and French. Visitors, accompanied by interpretive guides, will learn about the biodiversity of the Estuary and Gulf of St. Lawrence and the work scientists are doing to preserve it.

The guided tours will offer exclusive access to the tank room, the laboratories and the Canadian Coast Guard vessel maintenance shop.

The Maurice Lamontagne Institute is one of Fisheries and Oceans Canada’s four major centres for research on marine ecosystem science. More than 400 people work there.

Tours will take place from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at 850 Route de la Mer, Mont-Joli, Quebec, G5H 3Z4.

Reservations for summer 2019 are now complete.
