Luc Boucher Appointed Area Director, Magdalen Islands

On June 2, Luc Boucher took on the role of Area Director for the Magdalen Islands.

When he joined the Department in 2000, Mr. Boucher worked as an economist at the Policy and Economics Branch. From 2001 to 2008, he held the acting positions of Area Programs Manager and Resource Manager in the Magdalen Islands area. He then assumed the role of Senior Analyst with the Regional Small Craft Harbours Branch. He has since worked as Regional Manager, Client Services with this same branch.

Mr. Boucher has also worked in the provincial government, specifically with the Ministère de l'Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l'Alimentation du Québec, as well as with fisheries in the private sector. He has an Honours B.A. in Economics from the Université de Montréal.

Mr. Boucher represents a veritable goldmine of knowledge and experience for the Department in the Magdalen Islands area.
