Quebec/Magdalen Islands – March 7, 2023
Fisheries and Oceans Canada – Quebec Region announces that the 2023 fishing season for shellfish (Atlantic razor, Atlantic clam and Stimpson's clam) using a hydraulic dredge in area 5 area as follows:

| Atlantic Razor Clam | March 15 | December 31 |
| Atlantic Surf Clam | Spring period: March 15 | June 30 |
| Atlantic Surf Clam | Autumn period: Sept. 1st | December 31 |
| Stimpson`s Surf Clam | March 15 | December 31 |
It should be reminded that it is the responsibility of the licence holder to acquaint himself with the marine safety notices published by Environment Canada and Transports Canada as well as with the standards and best practices in marine safety and to take all measures necessary to insure a safe fishery during the period where fishing is authorized.
